Andy Crouch and Troy A. Miller are Danger! Warning! Improv!,  an Austin, Texas-based comedy duo who specialize in 100% improvised storytelling in a variety of classic adventure genres – always on the edge of disaster. They’ve been teaching improvisation and performing together since 2001 and have come to the firm conclusion that improv should be as risky as possible so that when they pull it off they look like geniuses. And when they crash and burn it’s just about the most charming, hilarious thing ever.

Andy Crouch

Andy Crouch fell in love with improv in 2001 because it was scary and cool and seemed like it might change his life forever. More than a decade later he makes his living as the corporate and adult education director at the Hideout Theatre in Austin, Texas. His best friends are the people that he plays with every weekend in a variety of improv comedy shows. He gets to invent and direct improv formats every year, including Fakespeare, Fandom: Improvised Fan Fiction, and the award winning Live Nude Improv. He’s married to a beautiful girl that he met through improv. And almost every day he gets to preach the good word of improv, teaching classes in Austin and around the world (most recently in Athens, Greece). The scariest, coolest improv he’s doing these days is in genre-inspired stories with Danger! Warning! Improv!

Troy A. Miller

Troy has been teaching and performing improv since 2002. He has studied with a host of renowned improv luminaries such as Keith Johnstone, the BATS company, LA Theatresports, Frank Caeti of Mad TV and Matt Walsh of Upright Citizen’s Brigade. As an original member of the house troupe at the Hideout Theatre, Troy produced and directed the critically acclaimed shows Cops & Lawyers, Hitchcocked!, Twilight Zoned, and Start Trekkin’ (which was selected to perform at the 40th Anniversary of Star Trek in Las Vegas). His comedy group Confidence Men (improvised David Mamet) won Austin’s B. Iden Payne Award for Best Improvisational Theatre in 2010 and 2011 and has toured comedy festivals nationwide. When not improvising or working on devising some new, mad format for Danger! Warning! Improv!, Troy is a writer and filmmaker – his feature “Severance” was a festival hit in 2005-2006 and is currently available on DVD.
